Sprucing Up Memorial Garden with NC Victim Assistance Network
When: Monday, September 11 
Time: 9:00 – 11:00a.m.
Where: Memorial Garden 153 Lane Streer, Raleigh, NC 27601

Volunteers will assist with landscaping the Crime Victim Memorial Garden on Lane Street in Raleigh. The garden could benefit greatly from weeding, putting in new plants and mulching. Volunteers could help with all aspects of these activities. Volunteers could also help with acquiring donations of appropriate plants ahead of the date, or we could make those acquisitions ahead of time. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.

Attire:  Work gloves highly recommended. Shovels, pitch forks and other garden hand tools optional. Rain wear if weather dictates

Parking: Street-side parking available in the neighborhood.

Cleaning for Comfort with Interact
When: Monday, September 11
Time: 12:00 – 4:00p.m.
Where: Interact, 1012 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27605

Volunteers are invited to help InterAct with a Cleaning for Comfort event. As our building is the first point-of-contact for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, we want our space to be as comforting and welcoming as possible. Volunteers will be doing various activities in an effort to deep clean our building, including touching-up paint, windows, disinfecting children’s toys, and other general cleaning efforts. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early.

Attire: please bring cleaning gloves.

Parking: Available in the InterAct parking lot.

Evening Commemoration & Service Event
When: Monday, September 11
Time: 6:00 – 8:00p.m.
Where: Red Hat Amphitheater, 500 South McDowell Street Raleigh, NC 27601

Join fellow citizens on Monday, September 11 at 6:00 PM the Red Hat Amphitheater for the 9/11 Day of Service Evening Commemoration coordinated by Activate Good with support from the City of Raleigh and Triangle area businesses.

Participate in hands-on, family-friendly service projects, enjoy refreshments and live music. There is no cost to attend this event, but guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to help ‘fill-the-truck’ for the Urban Ministries of Wake County food pantry (see the full list of needs here)!

Specific service project stations are To Be Announced! All service projects will be kid-friendly.
