Architectural Technology students, it is that time of the year when you should be scheduling a meeting with your Faculty Academic Advisor in our program. Please schedule time to come and meet with Prof. Card, Mr. Burton, Prof. de Alba and Prof. Jefferson. This is important. All of our department students will have Academic Advising holds on their account until they have met with one of us to review your Summer 2019 and Fall 2019 course schedule as well as sign you up for any certificates in our program.
Advising is important. It helps you to go in the right direction and stay on track with your goals! So schedule a meeting with us soon!

Wake Tech students touring the new YMCA facility on Rock Quarry Rd being built by Balfour Beatty Construction Co.
This facility is a very unique facility, a partnership between Wake County Schools and the YMCA.
This field trip was made possible by Candis Parker, a Wake Tech grad, now a pre-construction engineer with Balfour Beatty and Zach Hall, the Project Manager with Balfour Beatty.

Wednesday, February 27th, from 9am to 12pm is our Applied Engineering Career Fair (that is the corrected date). All students that are looking for work opportunities and internships should report to the Applied Engineering Fair between 9am and 12pm on the second floor of Building L (Student Services Building) on main campus. Please make sure you are dressed in business casual with copies of your resumes. AIAS Students you have had a session with Prof. Card, Prof. Jefferson and Prof. de Alba on your resumes. Contact your faculty if you need help printing copies. If you are in class during the career fair, please let your professor know you will be attending and then return to class after.
Wake Tech Architectural Technology February 21st Lunch and Learn with Students:
Hazen and Sawyer will be visiting campus Thursday February 21, 2019 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in SE 219 to talk to students about their company, the type of work they produce and sharing what they are looking for in potential new employees and interns. Come out to meet with Hazen and Sawyer staff. Wake Tech Architectural Technology Alumni currently working at Hazen, will also be a part of this presentation. Food provided for the first 25 students.

Architectural Technology and Landscape Architecture Track Students,
This is just a friendly reminder that the AET Division will have a Wake Tech Foundation Scholarship Workshop tomorrow February 21st, at 9:30 am and 1:00 pm in the Student Services Building (Rm 215- There will be a sign if it is a different room). The sessions will last 45 minutes to an hour. All students that plan on applying for scholarships should attend this session. Most of our students will be attending the 1:00 pm session. They will go over how to submit your application and how to write your essays. There are a number of scholarships available to our Architectural Technology and Landscape track students. Please apply! You only need to apply once and if you meet the criteria of the scholarship you will be assigned that scholarship. There are also scholarships specifically for Landscape Architecture Certificate students, so please apply.
