Business Analytics is proud to welcome our newest faculty member to our team, Kevin Stydinger.
Kevin is a creative strategic thinker with a contagious passion for analytics and teaching. He attended and received his BS Economics at Penn State University and a MA Economics at University of Delaware.
He has over 20 years of extensive industry experience in the fields of analytics, optimization, pricing and corporate strategy. Kevin was responsible for creating inspired analytical teams to drive profitability through innovative pricing strategies, advanced analytics and transparent performance metrics within Fortune 500 companies, such as Yum Brands (KFC), Constellation Energy, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, and The Pantry (Kangaroo Express).
As an effective speaker and teacher, Kevin is able to passionately deliver and communicate the complex analytic challenges into easy to learn concepts for all levels of knowledge. For the past 10 years, he has built highly effective analytical teams from inexperienced professionals who had little to no previous business analytics experience. These individuals were able not only able to grasp the concepts, but utilize them to further their careers.
We are excited to have him join our team and look forward to him sharing his knowledge and expertise about the analytics field with the entire WTCC Business Analytics students and community.

Kate Pattison is the Director of Grant Projects and Planning at Wake Technical Community College (WTCC) and helped develop and write the Business Analytics (BAS) grant.
Ms. Pattison describes the BAS program as “pretty outstanding.” She believes the program is rigorous and comparable to competitive programs in other schools because it is accelerated and the courses are compressed into short periods of time.
Ms. Pattison utilizes the skills she is learning in her current position as Director of Grants: “you learn some Python and you learn R and you learn SAS. By the time you get into the advanced certificate, you can kinda choose your own adventure.”
