After a few attempts (and some sledding and a few snowmen), the Spring 2018 semesters is now in full swing.
You can no longer drop/add 16-week classes; however, here are a few dates and some information you may want to know about:
*The second mini-mester begins March 2nd and there are still some seats in some classes available. Most of these classes are accelerated courses. Check with your financial aid counselor if you are wanting to add a 2nd 8-week class.
*The deadline to withdraw from a semester long 16-week class is March 20th. Before withdrawing from a class it is a good idea to speak with your instructor about where you stand and how you might resolve any issues that have you thinking about withdrawing from the class. When you withdraw from a class, the grade will show as a “W” on your transcript but will not affect your GPA. Withdrawing may have financial aid consequences so check with your financial aid counselor. To withdraw from a class, contact your instructor via email and ask to be withdrawn from the class.
*There are many resources available to WTCC students to help you in your academic career with us. The ILC is an open tutoring center https://www.waketech.edu/student-services/individualized-learning-center/about , many departments have open tutoring labs available (STEM, REAL), and there are many support programs available along the way https://www.waketech.edu/student-services
